Bizarre Cheerleading Smuggling Ploy Unearthed

The Sun Sentinel has the bizarre details of a smuggling plot gone wrong in today’s paper. Apparently 16 Colombian nationals—nine adults and seven children—have been detained after posing a cheerleading team. They were stopped in Miami after telling immigration officials they were in the US to attend a cheer competition. Not true. Turns out it was just a ill-planned human smuggling plot.
