Banker Fired Over Cabbie Fight

You might want to think twice before haranguing a cabbie. The Wall Street Journal has a story about Bryan Jennings, an investment banker who was fired after a public dispute over a cab fare. Morgan Stanley fired Jennings and is refusing to give him millions in deferred compensation because they say he violated the company’s code of conduct. The Journal says since the financial crisis companies have expanded the scope of such policies to include any behavior that causes “reputational harm.”
