Archie Introduces Gay Character

Archie is coming out of the closet. Well, not exactly. After 60-plus years, Riverdale is getting its first gay character says the New York Post. Fans have speculated for years about the relationship between Archie and Jughead being more than just friendly. But it’s a “hunky blond” that Veronica falls for who’s charged with bringing the long-running comic into the 21st century. Said a company executive: “We want to make sure Riverdale is a very inclusive place. We want to make sure everyone’s included in Archie’s world.”

Kevin Keller will be introduced in the September issue entitled, “Isn’t it Bromantic?”
