Alabama Wins BCS

The Birmingham News says that at Alabama, “defense and national titles just go together.” The whole state is celebrating the 37-21 win over Texas yesterday in the BCS championship game. An editorial inside says “in a year dominated by recession,” the win was especially sweet to Alabamans. The Austin American Statesman says the Longhorns never recovered after quarterback Colt McCoy injured his arm early in the game.
