3-D Glasses A Headache For Some Directors

Enough with the 3-D movies. I’ve been saying this for months. And according to this morning’s New York Times, a growing number of directors and viewers are with me. After the success of “Avatar,” it seemed like everything became 3-D. And the truth is, it’s just not an appropriate technology for every movie. Directors complain that films are harder and more expensive to shoot in 3-D and that overall, it “does little to enhance a cinematic story.” But studios love the premium they can charge for tickets and point to strong DVD sales.
