I joined WNYC host Brian Lehrer on Wednesday to serve as quizmaster for the station’s year-end listener news quiz.

I was reminded how much I enjoyed my time in radio. It’s less complicated than TV and easy to engage the listeners over the phone. And the listeners of the NPR-affiliated station in New York City proved themselves to be strong competitors. You can listen to the segment using the link below.

Later, I caught up with rival early-morning hosts Soterios Johnson and Richard Hake, who teased me about the fact that when they get up for work at 4 am they don’t have to put on a tie.
