Winner of Halloween 2011: Toddler Pat Kiernan

Samson Pessah is barely old enough to understand what NY1 is about. But thanks to his mom, the two-year-old Brooklyn boy had my favorite Halloween costume of 2011. A suit and some hairspray transformed him into Little Pat Kiernan. A fake “desk” and a NY1 logo turned his stroller into a rolling newsroom. Classic.
Earlier in the evening, I had thought my own effort was solid. My daughters, Lucy and Maeve, wanted to go as a NY1 News team. So Lucy became the reporter and Maeve the photographer. It looked good, but they had no floating logo with the time and temperature.

Of course, there were some great costumes at the Village Halloween Parade as well. I was there to host NY1’s live telecast. We adopted a Broadway theme again this year. I dressed as Clyde from Bonnie & Clyde. Stephanie Simon was outfitted by Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and Roger Clark got his makeover from Rock of Ages.
