American Idol is Still Worth Watching

I’ve written several columns this year about American Idol, the most recent of which observed that it’s been a little off this season. But it’s still one of my favorite shows and one of the few I clear my schedule to watch. In the Sunday New York Times, EW.com blogger Michael Slezak delivers a perfect summary of what’s right about Idol.
American Idol is a “once-a-year chance for the average American to combat the evils of today?s music business,” writes Slezak.
