Walt Mossberg Gets Roasted

If you’re a regular reader, you know I’m a fan of Walt Mossberg’s technology reviews in the Wall Street Journal. But his authoritative tone and early access to products does open him up to critics. And parody.

Check out the video below of “Walt Sassafras Mosspuppet” giving his review of the Apple’s Tablet. The Mossberg-inspired puppet is pretty hilarious. But the ridiculous dialogue is the best part, a perfect lampoon of the Apple fervor affecting tech columnists all over the country.  My favorite quote (from around minute four): “There’s even a button in one of the menus that if you press it - I have no idea how this works - a unicorn comes to your door with your favorite kind of pizza. It’s incredible.”

The video was made by Hoggworks Studios, a maker of puppets and puppet-related shows.
