Step Back to the Future

If you’ve been reading the news recently, you’d be forgiven for thinking its 2015 and everyone has gone Back to the Future. First it was a story about flying cars. Now, someone has actually created a self-lacing shoe. An inventor by the name of Blake Bevin shows you how to create your own pair in a very interesting tutorial posted on the very website Instructables.com. Bevin says she recreated Marty McFly’s high-tech foot gear by attaching a sensor to the shoe. The sensor estimates your foot’s pressure and tightens the laces accordingly. They’re a little clunkier than the ones featured in “Back to the Future II” but still look pretty, well, (mc)fly.
