Scrabble Makes You Smarter

Apparently I need to play Scrabble more often. Some researchers in my hometown at the University of Calgary have determined it makes you smarter.

Competitive Scrabble players have developed “more efficient systems” for the processing of words, according to Psychology professor Penny Pexman. She told the Calgary Herald that the next step in the research is to determine how the skills Scrabble encourages could be used to teach language.
