Great satire clip from Rick Mercer’s show on CBC. To give non-Canadians some perspective, national newscasts in Canada are often criticized for being Toronto-centric. (New York-based networks might occasionally be guilty of a similar offense. Substitute “New York” for any Toronto reference in the video and it’s equally funny.)

The fake news anchor in the video clip is played by real Canadian news anchor Linden McIntyre. “Victim” Rick Mercer is joined by actress Sonja Smits.
