Olympic Notebook: Women’s Downhill Skiing

It was a beautiful day on the slopes of Whistler today. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for skiing and for watching skiing. After hitting the slopes, we got a place in the crowd to watch Lindsey Vonn take to the mountain.

It’s worth noting that this lame little video clip from the skiier viewing areas on Whistler mountain has been viewed thousands of times. NBC has been doing solid ratings for the Olympics, but as I wrote last week, the time-delay strategy is particularly frustrating for people who are getting online news and tweets all day.
