Olympic Notebook: Snow in Whistler

We’re waking up to snow in Whistler. Just got word there’s so much snow on the mountain that they postponed the alpine skiing scheduled for this morning. A warm mix of rain, snow and fog is making scheduling difficult. But that type of weather really shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone who knows Whistler. In the 1990s Whistler was dropped from the World Cup ski circuit because it was so hard to get a race in on schedule.
