iPhones for Instruments

No, this is not a commercial for Apple—not yet, at least. Four musicians got their instruments stolen. Undeterred, they turned on their iPhones and forged on. Well, that’s the official story. Actually, it was a publicity stunt for the struggling Brooklyn band. But the results are pretty amazing.
I was most impressed with the way the drummer and keyboardist messed with the volume on their devices while never missing a beat. \According to the blurb on YouTube, footage for the video was taken from three different iPhones and edited together. Oh and the background noise and set? That’s courtesy of the B train, going across the Manhattan Bridge into Brooklyn. Check it out below:
The New York Daily News did a piece on the band today. They’re called Atomic Tom. Since they uploaded their ‘improvisation’ they’ve received more than one million hits on YouTube.
