In yet another health care compromise, Senate Democrats have tentatively agreed to drop the public option in exchange for lowering the age of Medicare beneficiaries and with the possibility of private insurers running government-aided programs, reported 21 newspapers this morning. President Obama proposed spending up to $150 billion in an attempt to stimulate job growth and aid the unemployed, as reported in 17 papers. Appearing on the front pages of 15 publications was coverage of a series of coordinated bomb attacks in Baghdad that killed 127.
