The emerging environmental and ecological crises as a result of the worsening oil spill off the Gulf Coast was today’s biggest story, appearing on 26 front pages this morning. Reports that the federal government is among the bodies looking to legally challenge Arizona’s new immigration law appeared in nine newspapers, as did coverage of Florida governor Charlie Crist’s resignation from his post in preparation for a Senate run in November as an Independent.
