Tea party rallies held across the nation yesterday, on Tax Day, were the focus of 15 front-page articles. President Obama’s speech on space exploration, in which he set out a new focus on Mars missions, was covered in 12 newspapers. Reports of famous Civil rights leader and longtime NAACP president Benjamin Hook’s death at age 85 appeared on 11 front pages. Eight publications ran stories on Obama’s extension of hospital visitation rights to same-sex couples.
