“AP Free” week at Tribune papers

My new Mediaite.com column on the lesser-known role of the Associated Press.  Tribune’s newspapers are going “AP free” this week to see if they can do without the wire service.  I think the move ignores the AP’s role as a foundation for a full-service newsroom to do its work.
