4:44 Last Day on Earth, and Pat’s on Air

How would you react if you knew the world was about to end?  That’s the central question in Abel Ferrara’s movie “4:44 Last Day on Earth.”  It arrives in theaters on Friday.

I have a small role in the movie.  It’s my usual role where I play Pat Kiernan from NY1 News.  In today’s Wall Street Journal I’m quoted briefly by writer Bruce Bennett.  He wanted to know how I got myself into the right frame of mind to announce that we were all about to die.  And he was amused to hear that I made an announcement to the newsroom to prevent my colleagues from having a “War of the Worlds” reaction when they heard me reading my lines.
